Being a mom…

Being a mom…

As a mom, it is ok to feel tired, overwhelmed, frustrated and even defeated. There is no need to hide these feelings and act as if everything is always alright. Being a mom is not easy. Remember to give yourself some free time to read, have adult conversation, plan a Mom’s night out or just some quiet time. Our kids cannot enjoy the best of us if we are not working to our full potential. You are a person too, relax, you’re doing just fine. No one expects perfection, but moms get pretty close 😉  Too often do women keep quiet about how they are feeling and has to stop. It will eat away at you bit by bit. Start to have conversations with other moms about these feelings, you will see that you are not alone.

Happy 3rd Birthday!

Happy 3rd Birthday!

I can’t believe that this day has come so fast! My baby girl turned 3 Valentines Day weekend! Let me first say that I only do birthday parties for ages 1, 5, 10, 13, 16 and 18, if she decides to invite me to her 21st, that will be beautiful just not funded by us! LOL! So for this year, I invited 2 other girls over and they did arts and crafts, made pizzas, she opened her gifts and had cupcakes. It was cheap, quick and the girls were happy! So easy and awesome! The other parents said that it was the best party they ever attended and weren’t exhausted! A super play date with tote bags that they made themselves. Feel free to try it yourself or share your own stories, 4 will be here before I know it!

Its a Movement! A Post Baby Body Movement!!

Its a Movement! A Post Baby Body Movement!!

Hey ladies, now we have all been down this postnatal road. We know how hard it is to lose our fabulous mummy tummy! Well, 993393_603658246351885_1091449158_nI’m here to help. I am not some genetic miracle and yes it is hard, dedicated work, but super possible! See I too, struggled with my tummy. Even more so after I stopped breastfeeding.  I tried every video and tummy lose trick out there. The truth is, it takes good old fashion fitness and nutrition.

Prior to my daughter, I had a decent shape and semi flat stomach. I was told by many people, that I would never have a flat tummy after a c section and abdominal separation. Ha!! I proved them wrong and I am here to help you all out, if you would like. As many of you know, I am a certified specialist in fitness nutrition and a weight management consultant that runs both on site and an online business. Honestly, it is cool, because I love what I do! Your fitness and meal plans are tailored exclusively you for you. Yes, only you! I chose to include online training in my services because, lets face it. Moms all around America would like to know this information. So go ahead ladies and even guys, pass this information along and use it if you need it. Looking forward to our journey together!

Snot, sneezes and a ton of Boogie Wipes

Snot, sneezes and a ton of Boogie Wipes

BOOGIE WIPES!!! These perfect little moistened wipes specifically created to clean your little ones nose. They keep them from drying out and babies and children seem to love them. I know I do!

So my daughter would technically have been sick for 3 weeks. Doctors tend to tell you that they have to work through a cold and send you on your way after you’ve paid your co-pay. This may be the 3rd time you have visited in the last few weeks, but still, just a cold. They are quite diligent though with thorough checks. So. I did a little research, only to find out that it s not a cold. In fact, it is allergies and teething. The combination led to a mild ear infection, but a ton of mucus, sneezing and a rash. It resembled a cold so much that it seemed like an easy diagnoses, especially with no fever. Her doctor and I narrowed it down due to my extreme food allergies and I don’t think her eczema helped much. The mucus and stuffy nose were a concern to me because she wasn’t sleeping due to being uncomfortable. So, I took an oil burner and used water on top verses oil, added chamomile, eucalyptus and peppermint oil. She opened up and slept like a baby. She has an appointment with an allergy specialist soon!

Tip: please remember to inform your pediatrician of any allergies, asthma or eczema that you may have. That can help the child’s diagnoses. Don’t be afraid to use essential oils!!!!!

1st Birthday

1st Birthday

I’m baccccccck!! Well Brooklyn is turning 1 on the 16th! Can you believe it. You have been on this journey with me and the big 1 is finally here. So like some frugal parenting, I vehemently stated that I was not having a birthday party, maybe just a cake. Lie, lie, lie!!! It’s so easy to say until the day arrives. She’s taking pictures and having a luncheon 🙂 However, it’s nothing big honestly. I will post pictures. How has everyone been? So since we last spoke, we have done away with the pacifier, no finger replaced, she sleeps for 12+ hours, no crying at bedtime and not quite walking yet, but I’m very patient with that, lol!! I’m so overjoyed that the day is coming, but when they say to take plenty of pictures and cherish the moments because they fly, that’s the truth! We had the most difficulty with sleeping, but I now believe it was because she had a pacifier. I remember being in her room half sleep trying to rock her back down, even though she’s not a rocked baby. Waking up in her room was normal, whew do glad we are over that hump!! Anyway, I just wanted to drop a line to you guys. Looking forward to 1!

This is by far, one of my favorite products. We still use it and my daughter is almost 8 months old. Of course there are safety regulations that you must follow to avoid incidents. The best part is that it can be used when she’s a toddler, which is great because she loves it!!
